Singapore is SME – 99% of all enterprises in Singapore are small and medium enterprises with operating receipts not more than $100 million or employment not more than 200 workers. With a share of 66% Singapore’s SMEs also employed more than 2.2 million talents in 2014. These are only two factors which show us that Singapore’s SMEs are substantial and contribute significantly to Singapore’s economy, stability and continuous growth.However, SMEs are facing different challenges throughout all phases of growth starting at the incorporation procedure as well as the business and operational setup. Tight budgets often restrict strong marketing campaigns which are mostly key for a successful startup. In order to further support Singapore’s SMEs to successfully manage these challenges, the “Singapore SME Star Picks Initiative” was initiated by Toast Creative and vTours.
